Kadence theme review 2026: the theme this site runs on
Real asset weight and PageSpeed from digitalpritam.in, what Kadence Pro adds, and the one setting that cost us 144 KB.
Short answer: Kadence is the most flexible free block theme we have used, and it runs this site. It is heavier than GeneratePress: 392 KB of theme and block assets on one of our posts, including a 144 KB WooCommerce stylesheet that blog posts do not need.
Kadence is a WordPress theme with a drag-and-drop header and footer builder and an optional block plugin, Kadence Blocks.

Kadence review: FAQ
Is Kadence a good WordPress theme?
Yes. It is rated 4.9 out of 5 on WordPress.org with over 500,000 active installs, and it runs this site. Its header builder and Kadence Blocks make it one of the most flexible free themes.
Is Kadence Pro worth it?
If you want conditional headers, more header elements, hooked elements and WooCommerce extras, yes. Kadence’s paid plans are now bundles: Pro at $299 a year and Elite at $499 a year, sold through Liquid Web.
Is Kadence fast?
It can be. On our post, Kadence and Kadence Blocks loaded 23 files (392 KB uncompressed, 78 KB gzipped) and the page scored 59 on mobile. A 144 KB WooCommerce stylesheet loading on blog posts was the biggest avoidable cost.
Kadence vs GeneratePress: which is lighter?
GeneratePress. On our sites it loaded 8 files and 53 KB against Kadence’s 23 files and 392 KB. Both posts still scored 59 on mobile, because ads, fonts and content matter as much.
Is there a Kadence coupon code?
We do not list Kadence coupon codes. Use Kadence’s own pricing page; we link to it with our affiliate link.
