Every plan: $1 for the first month on monthly billing, unmetered visitors, unlimited PHP workers, daily backups kept 30 days, WAF, malware protection and free migrations. Yearly totals use Rocket.net’s 2-months-free rule (10 x the monthly price).

Renewal: what you really pay

Rocket.net says it will “never do price hikes on renewals”. So the only jump is after the $1 first month: Starter goes to $30 a month, or you pay the yearly price again. Extra disk is billed at $2 per GB and extra bandwidth at $0.08 per GB if you go over.

What is good and what to watch

Good

  • Mumbai data centre listed on its status page, with Singapore and Dubai nearby
  • No renewal price rise, in writing on the pricing page
  • Unmetered visitors: you pay for storage and bandwidth, not visits
  • Daily backups kept 30 days, WAF and malware protection on every plan
  • 4.7 on Trustpilot from 274 reviews

Watch out for

  • $30 a month is costly next to Indian shared hosting
  • WordPress only; no email hosting
  • Overage fees for disk and bandwidth
  • Billed in US dollars; your bank may add a forex fee
  • Enterprise plans are not covered by the refund

Speed for Indian visitors

Rocket.net’s status page lists Mumbai among its data centres, next to Singapore, Dubai and others. Pick Mumbai for an Indian audience. Pages are also served through its Enterprise CDN (Cloudflare appears on the same status page), so cached pages load from an edge near the visitor.
