No. On 2 Nov 2026 we found no paid VPS under $1 a month. The cheapest paid VPS is RackNerd’s 1 GB plan at $21.99 a year ($1.83 a month, ₹174). Only a free tier goes lower: Oracle Cloud’s Always Free VMs cost $0. For real work, Contabo gives 8 GB for $5.28 a month.

Read the billing term
Yearly prices (RackNerd) and long terms (Contabo, Hostinger) look cheapest per month but are paid upfront.
Check the price after the deal
IONOS goes from $2 to $6 after 3 months; Hostinger KVM 1 renews at $11.99.
Look at RAM per dollar
Contabo’s 8 GB for $5.28 beats a 512 MB plan at $4 for almost any real work.
Count the IPv4 address
IPv6-only plans are cheaper but some networks cannot reach them.
Add tax

Not a paid one that we could find live on 2 Nov 2026. The cheapest paid VPS was RackNerd’s 1 GB plan at $21.99 a year ($1.83 a month). The only way under $1 was a free tier: Oracle Cloud’s Always Free VMs cost $0.
What is the cheapest VPS in the world?
Free: Oracle Cloud Always Free. Paid: RackNerd 1 GB at $21.99 a year, then IONOS VPS S+ at $2 a month for the first 3 months (then $6) and Vultr’s IPv6-only plan at $2.50.
What is the cheapest VPS with 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM?
Contabo Cloud VPS 4: 4 vCPU and 8 GB for $5.28 a month before VAT on a 24-month term. For 4 GB, OVHcloud VPS-1 from ₹420 a month before GST on its India page, or RackNerd 4 GB at $59.99 a year.
Will a $1 or $2 VPS be good enough?
For a VPN, a small bot, a test server or learning Linux, yes. For WordPress or n8n, look for 1 to 2 GB of RAM at least; 512 MB plans run out of memory fast.
Do cheap VPS deals come back on Black Friday?
Budget hosts often run their biggest yearly specials around Black Friday. We will check again then and update this page with any plan that really goes under $1 a month.
What about Hetzner?
Hetzner is a popular budget choice, but on 2 Nov 2026 its cloud pages showed no prices and marked every plan we checked as currently unavailable, so it is not in the ranking.
