OVHcloud review 2026: VPS priced in rupees, with daily backups included
The VPS 2027 range in rupees with GST, the commitment discount, the Asia traffic cap and the Mumbai question.

OVHcloud’s India site sells VPS in rupees: VPS-1 with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe is from ₹420 a month plus GST (₹496) on a 12-month commitment, or ₹504 with no commitment. A daily backup and anti-DDoS are included. In Asia (Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney) traffic has a monthly quota, and on 28 Oct 2026 the configurator showed Mumbai as not available.

The configurator showed VPS-1 at ₹504 a month with no commitment and ₹5,040 for 12 months upfront. VPS-2 was shown as currently unavailable in the India configurator on 28 Oct 2026.
Billing, bandwidth and extras
What the monthly price does not show.
The “from” prices need a commitment. In the configurator, 6 months saves 6% and 12 months saves 16% against the no-commitment price. OVHcloud says the subscription then renews automatically for the same duration; switch that off in the Control Panel before the term ends if you want to leave.
Traffic is unlimited in Europe and North America. In the Asia-Pacific region (Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney) each plan has a monthly quota: 500 GB on VPS-1, 1 TB on VPS-2 and VPS-3, 3 TB on VPS-4. Past the quota, speed is capped at 10 Mbps instead of being billed.

What is good and what to watch
Good

India and Asia regions
OVHcloud lists Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney as its Asia-Pacific VPS locations. On 28 Oct 2026 the India configurator offered Singapore (and Beauharnois, Canada) for VPS-1 and showed Mumbai as not available. Check the location list when you order: if Mumbai is open, pick it for Indian visitors; otherwise Singapore is the next best.

Managed or unmanaged: what a WordPress beginner gets
OVHcloud sells an unmanaged server: you get root access and a blank Linux machine. Installing the web server, PHP, the database, SSL, security updates, backups and fixes is your job. That is fine if you know Linux. If you just want a fast WordPress site, pick one of these instead:
- A managed layer on top: Cloudways runs WordPress for you on DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS or Google Cloud servers, with Indian regions.
- A free panel: CloudPanel, Coolify or a one-click WordPress image does the install, but updates and security are still on you.
- A VPS with a simpler panel and rupee billing: Hostinger VPS has an India location and one-click templates.
OVHcloud also sells shared web hosting if you do not want to run a server at all.
